Sin Sin

The new Sin Sin project returns to techno-roots by bringing back the atmosphere, density of sound and variety to techno music, combined own specific trademark-elements to form his definition of a genre, which claims to be nothing less than the future - techno in its purest shape.

Sinclair aka Sin Sin began his career in music by DJing in several well-known national nightclubs in Germany back in 1999. For several years he held a residency at the Fusion Club, one of Germany's most prestigeous underground techno-locations, where he had countless opportunities to play along the sides of most major international techno-acts of the time. Along with another Fusion Club resident, Sinclair founded the vinyl-label "Statiq Records" in 2002 on which he brought out numerous techno-releases, before he entered the hardtechno-scene with his own second imprint "Plug & Play Records", subsequently leading to various hardtechno-gigs abroad during the following years, including touring three times to Colombia and Venezuela and appearing on important labels of the hardtechno-genre. With his new Sin Sin project, Sinclair returns to his techno-roots by bringing back the atmosphere, density of sound and variety to techno music, combined with his own specific trademark-elements to form his definition of a genre, which claims to be nothing less than the future - techno in its purest shape.

Recondite

Brunner grew up in a rural area which is often named as source of his inspiration. Beside the environment and the Lower Bavarian landscape, the population is called as a direct influence to his work. This is true for the artist in general and for his alias Recondite in particular.
In this surrounding Brunner created his first tracks in a small home studio. Following this early musical creative period, the young producer moved to Berlin in 2009. Brunner founded Plangent Records in 2011 and published tracks under the name Recondite. Already the first four track EP (PLAN 001) received very positive national and international feedback. In the same year Recondite got his first gig at Panorama Bar/Berghain in Berlin. Further releases on his own label, as well as on Scubas Label hotflush, followed expanded concert inquiries at home and abroad.
Increased attention was given to Recondite by the album On Acid, which was released in 2012 via the US label Absurd Recordings. Those tracks, influenced by the typical acid sounds, extended the musical diversity Brunners to another facet. The music press referred particularly to the fact that Brunner gave his own imprint to the previously known acid and created a "incredibly listenable" record. The appreciative echo that gave the music journals and the online portals, along with the ongoing success of his live shows, led Recondite to his first US gig at New York in 2012.
With his second longplayer Hinterland, released in 2013 on the US label Ghostly International, Recondite became a worldwide-booked live act. Since then he has constantly been seen on stages in Europe, America, Asia and Australia. Among other shows, he performed live between Sven Väth and Richie Hawtin on the Time Warp Festival 2014. In the very same year he became a Resident-DJ of Richie Hawtin's ENTER.Ibiza 2014. Recondite does major events such as Melt!,Amsterdam Dance Event and Time Warp just as club shows in smaller and mid-sized venues with correspondingly more intimate atmosphere.
Recondite released his third album Iffy in November 2014 and his fourth album Placid in November 2015.

Nicole Moudaber

Dance music changed Nicole Moudaber’s life – now she’s returning the favour. “The drums reached me,” she says of her initiation at New York’s infamous Tunnel Club. Ever since then, the Nigerian-born Lebanese star has dedicated her immense energy to finding ways to share that vibe.

After years as a promoter – first in her native Lebanon, then in London – and a long self-apprenticeship in her studio, Nicole burst onto the scene like record-wielding Athena. Carl Cox, a close friend and mentor, tipped off DJ Mag in 2009, calling her “the most underrated DJ.” Four years later, Ms Moudaber is no longer waiting in the wings.

“I discovered the artist in me on the dance floor…”

Nicole Moudaber holds true to the belief that the power of music brings us together as one. The beat of a drum, the very first instrument created by humans, remains at the heart of the music she creates and plays, while the diversity of her tastes, and her ability to create spellbinding club experiences, promote harmony on the dance floor.

Growing up in Nigeria exposed Nicole to the hypnotic tribal rhythms of artists like Fela Kuti. This was her first taste of the power of the drum, and lies at the core of her sound. Nicole moved to London in 2000 where she quickly integrated herself into the city’s club scene, becoming a promoter at Turnmills, holding her own party called ‘Soundworx’, which she started in Beirut. Her unrelenting desire to unite people through music couldn’t have been demonstrated more explicitly than that first party, where people of all races, religions and classes danced together under the stars in an abandoned, bombed-out mosque and cathedral.

Nicole then brought her party to London, building its reputation from the ground up and making it a total success. Her ability to operate ahead of the curve leading to Paco Osuna’s very first London booking, among many other luminaries from the world of house and techno. But working behind-the-scenes was not enough and she was soon appearing on the decks, building her skills as a DJ - that visionary ability revealing itself during her diverse, enchanting sets. The next step was to express her passion for music through production and she attended world-renowned music school Point Blank to learn the basics. From that point there really was no going back, she remixed Carl Cox ‘Chemistry’, which stayed in the techno charts on Beatport for three months and won her an IDMA Award in 2012.

In the years since that record hit the charts, Nicole’s career trajectory has been swift and steep. She has travelled the globe playing everywhere from intimate basement venues to large stages at festivals such as Exit, Glastonbury, WMC, Time Warp, Electric Daisy Carnival, Awakenings and many of the world’s most renowned electronic music spaces. She also curates her own MoodRAW events, taking clubbing back to those grimy, raw spaces where it first started, as well as the more intimate In The MOOD parties, which have included annual sold out showcases at WMC in Miami and BPM in Mexico.

Fuelled by a desire to keep achieving at the highest level, Nicole is working on the debut of her very own one-day festival, to be held on Coney Island, New York and she’s in discussions to host her own stage at numerous large-scale dance music festivals. She is a regular at Carl Cox’s legendary Revolution night in Ibiza, as well as being welcomed into the Circoloco family at the seminal DC10. Her performances are full of passion and drama, cultivating musical journeys designed to reach her audience on a deeper level and make each individual’s experience a memorable one.

Away from the touring Nicole has established her label, Mood Records, as a go-to platform for any self-respecting techno fan. Releases have come from a long list of techno heroes, including Carl Cox, Stacey Pullen, Joel Mull and Carlo Lio. As a producer she has also progressed rapidly, thanks to her dedication to the craft. Remix work and originals have all cemented her reputation for high quality production, which is clearly evident on her collaboration with Skin from Skunk Anansie – an emotive collection of tracks that highlight Nicole’s ability to take the listener to the deeper side of electronic music.

Her diverse tastes in music and curation skills also manifest themselves via her radio show, In the MOOD, which is produced by the same team who work on shows with Carl Cox and Adam Beyer. The show is syndicated globally, airing on 55 FM stations worldwide and is available on Mixcloud every Wednesday, spreading her sound to millions of listeners around the globe.

A fervent campaigner for human rights, Nicole studied Combined Social Sciences and was a straight A student before the music really took hold. Her passion for fighting inequality in all its forms runs deep, and she recently became involved with the Lower East Side Girls Club in New York. It’s a crucial part of her ideology and something that spurs her on to keep sharing music, spreading the love and uniting dance floors around the world.

As she looks forward to the release of her EP with Skin, a huge one-day festival, original productions for high-profile labels and remixes on her own label from some of the scene’s biggest names, Nicole presides over an empire that continues to grow in stature and the future looks full of exciting prospects.

Nicole Moudaber is a professional, innovative, hard-working artist who has become a contemporary icon. From her long, curly locks to her slamming techno sets and her intense, empowering performances, she truly stands in a class all of her own…

Le Son Du Placard

Le Son Du Placard started producing electronic music since he was a teenager back in the 90s with anything he could find. He continued practicing its passion by playing keyboards in several bands. In 2003 he went back to playing solo with hardware electronic machines : sequencers, synth and samplers. His music was hard and rough at that time and all was about freedom and curiosity in his mind. Little by little driven by the need of a neat and accurate sound he went to software. In the mean time tempo has a bit slowen down to softly go to what he likes the most today : techno music.
Inspired by gloomy landscapes and poisoned reality was born Le Son Du Placard. A heady techno with mental loop overs solid drum and crazy FX. Atmospheres are a central aspect of his music they are the soundscape around which are evolving the different elements bringing some animal life in this strange exoplanet’s wold.
First released on the label Scander ran by Cosmic Boys (Scander/M-nus) in 2014, he quickly got a lot of production for the labels Kaleydo Beats, Yousel records, Redmoon Rec. , Audio Monster, Electrovino, FETT rec., TrueLife rec. and a lot more.

Kaiserdisco

Frederic Berger and Patrick Buck have rocked the right clubs, remixed the acts that matter, put their names in bold across festival marquees, retained the highest quality through honest endeavour and made the name Kaiserdisco a worldwide authority with guru-like guidance of the groove.

A case of great minds thinking alike after pooling (and maintaining) their own careers – Berger as part of Nudisco, Buck juggling a mass of other projects - their debut long player ‘In No One’s Shadow’ laid down the Kaiserdisco manifesto and the ability therein to tilt dancefloors smoothly, minimally, tribally, forcefully and progressively in their favour. With the confidence of the title running through every dropped needle and pushed play button, the Hamburg duo have enveloped the dancefloor in their own resilient way since joining forces in 2008. Their methods are in part down to being “very careful with decisions”, and relaying the fruits of a telepathy in which they admit they’ve “never had a disagreement.”

With its almost business-like invitation, follow-up ‘Meet Me on the Floor’ required little more introduction but offered classiness by night never found on the back foot, with a little toughness and quiet determination when required and subtle variations in flavour from beach to bolthole. Once a burgeoning remix schedule began to pick up pace, boosted were the beats of Robyn, Nicole Moudaber, Extrawelt, and Sébastien Léger, culminating in the ‘Retouched’ 12” tweaking Steve Lawler, Booka Shade and Marc Romboy.

Blessing the back catalogues of Drumcode, Suara, Snatch and Get Physical meant the unveiling of their own KD Music, always a long-term goal for the pair, was a natural knock-on effect. They may have been quoted with tongue only partially in cheek by running a label with a “we produce it, and if we like it, we release it” ethos, but it seemed a risk-free declaration given the pair’s established quality control, extending to giving rising talents a way in, and inviting Eddie Amador and Danny Serrano to their ranks.

After what has been a watershed Kaiserdisco era celebrating 50 KD Music releases this year, their new baby KD Raw is prepared to get to the heart of the dancefloor even quicker, starting in blistering fashion with the ‘Three Lions’/’Fifth Element’ EP. “The important concept behind Kaiserdisco is to make the people dance...it’s our main goal to stimulate the people!”

Deepbass

Whether doused in the grit of his hometown Glasgow, or expanded by the widescreen vistas of his current base, Barcelona, the music of Darren Roberts has asserted it´s uniqueness within his preferred form of expression, rolling and tunneling techno, strong on propulsion and atmosphere.

Naming the project Deepbass was a strong statement of intent and commitment to a sound of his own, from the start. That he has in fact established it and remains on a path of constant perfection of it, is indicative of Darren´s personality and talent.

This consistent path has seen Deepbass put out records on labels such as Edit Select Records, Aconito Records, Dynamic Reflection and Soma, all the while enjoying a steady rise in recognition both with audience and peers.

Along the way, he found in Italian producer Andrea Deplano, most widely known as Ness, a perfect foil for his vision of techno, with both collaborating on releases which displayed uncanny compatibility in sound between them.

This commitment to the deeper, hypnotic side of techno is further proved by his own label, Informa Records, where releases by names like Reggy Van Oers, nAX_Acid, Claudio PRC, Takaaki Itoh, Ness, NX1, Hironori Takahashi are constant highlights for those who crave expansive and engrossing soundscapes.

What stands out from his production and performances is that Deepbass creates something identifiably his own, but refuses to ever be limited by it or to get comfortable repeating just one thing.

Instead, he takes what´s already his own and streamlines it, sharpens it and nuances it.

The origin and destination might be constant, but the path it takes and how the journey feels is ever-changing.

Charlotte de Witte aka Raving George

For all the emphasis on good times and euphoria in clubland there’s always been a dark side to electronic music, a side that 23 year old DJ/producer and one of Belgium’s most exciting new talents Charlotte de Witte, aka Raving George, has readily embraced.

“I love the darkness you find in electronic music,” explains de Witte, “especially within Techno. I find melancholic music so much more interesting and dark sounding Techno really attracts me. When I look at the main stages of some of the world's most famous festivals and I see everyone dancing to this commercial, happy music, I don't really understand it.”

“Dark music contains much more emotion. When I’m DJ’ing I want to try and touch the crowd and tell a story with the music. Of course I want them to party, get loose and have fun but at the same time I want them to remember the music long after the lights go up.”

Growing up with Belgium’s rich history of Electronic de Witte would discover Electro and Techno in her teens and was soon captivated by the hypnotic sounds she heard in the clubs around Ghent. By the age of 17 she had already made her debut behind the decks and her aggressive Techno sets soon caught the ears of some of Belgium’s biggest promoters, earning de Witte prime sets at festivals such as Pukkelpop and Tomorrowland.

Today de Witte can include parties and festivals in the US, South Africa and all across Europe on her CV. Still her heart remains tied to the both the underground Techno scene and Belgium where she can be found championing new talent both on her Saturday night radio show, ‘Playground’ on Studio Brussels, Belgium’s leading radio station, and at KNTXT de Witte’s new residency at Brussels Techno institution Fuse.

Having moved into production de Witte has wasted no time in establishing herself as a serious talent in the studio as well as behind the decks. But whilst a Raving George DJ set is guaranteed to get you moving, Charlotte’s own music has provided her with a chance to reveal another side, an opportunity to dial down the BPMs and up the atmosphere.

“When I’m DJ’ing it’ll mostly be Techno, hard, dark and aggressive. But when I’m in the studio I like to mix things up.” She explains. ”So I’ll still make club tracks but then a lot of the music that I’ll produce is slower, it has a heaviness to it. Making music really gives me a chance to tap into the more emotional side of electronic music that I love. Music that has that melancholic side to it, I just find it so much more interesting, whether DJ’ing, producing or just listening myself at home.”

Releases in 2014 on labels like London’s cult Bad Life imprint quickly found favour with press, DJs and public alike, tracks such as ‘Slaves’ updating the grinding sound of New Beat and EBM for a new generation of electronic music fans.

Whilst those early releases earned her the respect of the underground club scene she calls home, it was her 2015 collaboration with another fast rising Belgian star Oscar & The Wolf that brought her to the attention of the world at large. Making no concession to the mainstream ‘You’re Mine’, an intense, atmospheric, mix of sombre, almost mournful, vocals and seductively dark electronica went Gold, selling over 15,000 copies in Belgium alone.

With ‘You’re Mine’ now set for a full international release, further EPs lined up for labels such as Tiga’s Turbo Recordings, her ongoing radio show, FUSE residency and a packed tour diary de Witte shows no sign of slowing down. Despite her love of all things dark, the future for Raving George looks very bright indeed.

Alan Fitzpatrick

The continued rise of Alan Fitzpatrick is the biggest story in UK techno right now. Having enjoyed a rapid ascent since his emergence as the new kid on the techno block in the latter half of 2009, Fitzpatrick now enjoys a status as a highly respected and in-demand producer. By releasing his debut album for Adam Beyer's globally renowned Drumcode label, Alan became the first act to record an album on Drumcode since 2005. The well-received ‘Shadows In The Dark’ long-player marked the culmination of a run of productions that saw Fitzpatrick publically name-checked as a one of the most exciting producers in techno by Adam Beyer, Dubfire, Carl Cox, John Digweed and Len Faki and being awarded a BBC Radio 1 Essential New Tune for his anthemic Reflections single on Bedrock. 2011 will see Alan evolve an already impressive production CV via collaborations with Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch and Joseph Capriati as well as remixes of Mark Broom, Funk D’Void and Alex Bau.

It has been Alan’s partnership with Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label that has produced his most significant work to date; releasing three chart topping EP’s (Static, Face Of Rejection, Insurgent Series) on the label in addition to his ‘Shadows In The Dark’ LP and being one of a select handful of producers invited to remix Beyer’s classic Remainings III. Elsewhere, Fitzpatrick’s studio services have been recruited by the likes of John Digweed & Nick Muir, Slam, Joey Beltram, John Digweed, Dustin Zahn & Joel Mull and Pascal Mollin. Indeed, such has been Fitzpatrick’s dominance of the techno scene in the last eighteen months that his productions have regularly filled the top positions of Beatport’s techno Top 100 chart at the same time.

The same unstoppable momentum has come to characterize Alan’s style of techno; powering demand for his music worldwide, and filling his gig diary with weekends spent touring all over Europe as he completes the transition from being a highly regarded newcomer to a bonafide member of techno’s producer vanguard. Focusing on his trademark sound of tough, hooky grooves and incendiary beats, An intuitive and dynamic exponent with Native Instrument’s Traktor software, his big-room techno sound has seen him draw crowds in Germany (Berghain, Cocoon, U60311, Maria Ostbahnof), France (Rex, Inox, Le 25, S’Kandalo) The Netherlands (Awakenings, Paradiso, Catwalk, Doornroosje, Poema), UK (Fabric, The Arches) Italy (Old River Park, Rasmonan), Switzerland (La Zoo, D-Club, Das Schiff) and Eastern Europe (Kiwi Lithuania, Forsage Ukraine) plus key festivals like Kazantip Ukraine, Streetparade Zurich, SW4 London, Boom Portugal and Sziget Hungary.

Already well passed the landmark of 25 releases, Alan Fitzpatrick’s 8 Sided Dice Recordings label keeps on pushing forward as one of the most exciting new techno labels to emerge in recent times. Established as both an attractive home to high profile artists and a outlet for emerging talent the labels output continues to strike a balance between original tracks and remixes from Alan himself, as well as featuring productions from Cari Lekebusch, Slam, Heiko Laux, Gene Le Fosse, Dustin Zahn, Sasha Caressi, Harvey Mckay, Nicole Moudaber, Rich Jones, and Chris Colburn.

Hugo Bianco

Hugo Bianco lives most of the year in Miami and calls it home. His interest in music began at an early age when he took up piano lessons followed by professional guitar classes. He continued to study classical guitar until the age of 14, until he discovered electronic music and began spinning in local clubs.

Hugo pursued his passion of electronic music and has since embarked on worldwide tours and been part of the same line-up as some of the most recognized DJ's in the scene, including Luciano, Joseph Capriati and Loco Dice. He frequently plays in Miami, New York, Milan, Berlin and Ibiza among other destinations and has been part of global events, such as the Ultra Music Festival, Cocorico and Detroit Milano from Italy. He plays regularly at popular underground venues including Story Night Club and holds a residency at Treehouse and Club Space Miami.

For the past several years, Hugo has focused more on recording his own music and producing. In 2014 he was recognized as one of Beatport's top 100 Techno producers of the year, placing at #22 with many charted tracks His most successful one to date "Taurus", released in March 2014 under Stick Recordings hit #1 in the Techno Charts where it remained for several consecutive weeks. In the latter part of 2014, Hugo decided to open his own record label "Clock Recordings" which has since released top selling tracks with artists such as Pig & Dan, Dani Sbert and Alberto Ruiz.

Hugo's sound continues to grow and one can only expect him to reach the goals he has set for himself, elevating the underground music movement and becoming a globally recognized artist and music producer.
