Cocorico

The home of now-deceased party institution Discoteca Paradiso, the city of Rimini was once the undisputed epicentre of Italo house. In 2015, music and club culture has moved on considerably from the glory days of Italo, with Rimini’s dance fans now in search of accessible techno with an occasional side of EDM.

Cocorico is big enough to cater for both sub cultures, hosting techno rave-ups featuring local heroes (Alex Neri, Marco Carola, to name but a few) at popular regular party Made In Italy, plus big names from further afield like Berlin and London — think Villalobos, Sven Väth and Ibiza’s Circoloco crew. 

It’s not just Cocorico’s superb line-ups that make it stand out, it’s also the club’s patented architecture that has made it so iconic. The Cocorico dancefloor is topped with an enormous glass pyramid, plus hanging LED screens, CO2 cannons and some Egyptian-style decorations thrown in for good measure. There’s no hiding from the daylight inside The Pyramid, with sunshine belting down on partygoers from the early hours; sunglasses at Cocorico are essential!
