LOCO & JAM



LOCO & JAM are Northern Irish based Techno duo made up of Lloyd Reid and James Peoples. Formed in 2007 they have went from strength to strength with a list of productions under their belts on major labels such as 1605, 303 Lovers, Analytic Trail, Unrilis, Bush Records, MB Elektronics, Rekluse, Respekt Recordings, Phobiq and a lot more. Their productions have been getting massive support from some of the worlds biggest Djs including Carl Cox, John Digweed, Adam Beyer, Umek, Marco Bailey, Groove Armada, Joey Beltram to name but a few. 

2009 was the first break for Loco & Jam as it seen their remix of Henry Von – Propaganda make its way on to Carl Cox’s Space Ibiza compilation and was also featured as his Global Warmer Track Of The Week on his Global Radio Show which has over 10 Million listeners worldwide. Second to this release came their massive Medusa Ep on Rekluse which helped push their names global in a short space of time with the lead track Medusa riding high on the Beatport charts for nearly 6 months.

2010 was certainly a great year for Loco & Jam as not only have they had releases on Marco Bailey’s MB Elektronics label, Umek’s label 1605, Spektre’s Respekt Recordings butthey also remixed for some of Techno’s biggest stars including UMEK, MARCO BAILEY, TOM HADES, DJ PIERRE, ELECTRIC RESCUE, MARK ANTONIO, ERPHUN, LUCCA & a lot more. 2010 also seen Loco & Jam launch their very own label called CODE with the very first release a track of their own ” Maximus ” ride high on the beatport techno chart. Since then they have released an amazing catalogue of releases from up-coming and major artists including Subfractal, Gennaro Le fosse, Tom Hades, Steve Parker, Snello, Henry Von, Sesimal D, Kalden Bess, Audio Injection, BlazV, Dualtec, Anthony Castaldo & Redhead. The main Goal of the label is to release good music no matter of it comes from well established artists or new artists as long as its good quality and something you will find in a Loco & Jam Set. The guys also had an extensive touring schedule in 2010 with not only finishing off Umek’s massive Dan Elektronike Festival In Slovenia after artists such as Christian Smith, Sebastian Leger & Alan Fitzpatrick. Finishing off the 1605 Stage at 4G Festival in Athens after Umek, Len Faki and Marco Bailey etc, playing Soul Tech Festival in Mexico City to a massive 15,000 Strong crowd alongside artists such as Popof, Julien Jeweil & Kolombo etc and playing the world famous Kazantip Festival in Ukraine. As well as festivals the guys have rocked clubs across the globe including Forsage Club, Kiev, JJ Club, Vinigradov, Aura Club, Moscow, Crash Mansion, Bristol, Club Essential, Riga, La Terraza, Juarez, Mexico (3 times) to name but a few. Also in 2010 the guys won the award of Best New Artist at the Irish Dance Music Awards.

2011 has been a great year for their release schedule with Eps, Releases & Remixes already on labels such as Manuel de La Mares 303 Lovers, BPM Japan, Sasha Carassi’s Phobiq, Spektre’s Respekt Recordings, Driving Forces Recordings & Alex Di Stefano’s Binary404. They also Remixed for Mark Antonio on his famous label Analytic Trail on a huge package alongside artists such as Joseph Capriati, Paco Osuna, The Advent & Industrialyzer & Flavio Diaz. 2011 has seen them get alot more recognition in their own native Ireland with playing alot of gigs at home this year including venues such as Pod, Stiff Kitten, Strand Nightclub & the launch of their own CODE Party at new club Sweet were their guests over the past 6 months included Alan Fitzpatrick, Tom Hades & Fergie. As well as playing Timbuk2 in Bristol, 2 gigs in Mexico City including the massive Troya Club and Ecatepec Open Air Party and also they made their Spain Debut playing Sol festival in Extremadura alongside Technasia, Kenny Larkin, A Guy Called Gerald and Surgeonto name but a few. The guys also played at 3 Parties at this years Amsterdam Dance Event including a Jeton Records label showcase with Marco Bailey & Steve Mulder. A Switch presents Sleaze & Driving Forces label showcase with Sasha Carassi, Spektre, Dustin Zahn, Technasia and more and also a Switch Meets Subculture party with Tom Hades. The week after they played the Massive Mansion festival in Ireland alongside Chris Liebing, Joris Voorn, Dubfire and lots more. Finishing up 2011 Loco & Jam also started a new residency at the Famous POD Venue in Dublin were they played after Minus new kid on the block Matador. They also made their Budapest Debut at Club Prestige and their German Debut at the Famous U60311 in Frankfurt. Not content with their CODE Party the guys actually went bait bigger this year and just recently held their own indoor festival called WINTERLAND back on the 26th December with 4 Arenas covering all styles of Dance music and also holding an Arena for Indie Rock Bands. They called on the services of Excentric Boss Fergie to do headline duties of the Techno / House Arena!Winterland will certainly return in 2012.

LOCO & JAM’s first release of 2012 called COLOSSUS hit shops on 16th January on Marco Baileys MB Elektronics and within a few days made its way onto the Beatport Techno charts and was a huge hit for DJs such as Joseph Capriati, Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Sasha Carassi & loads more. Coming up they have future Eps on Rino Cerrones famous Unrilis Imprint, Sasha Carassi’s label Phobiq as well as Remixes on Bush Records and Subfractals Frakrure Audio. Their first show of 2012 they played to a packed arena at the massive Winterground Festival in Hungary headlining the main arena after acts such as Sinisa Tamamovic & Virgil Enzinger. Also this year they made their Austrian debut at Camera Club Vienna in March as well as their Swiss debut at Loop38 in Zurich in March, April seen them back in Hungary to play the famous Icebeach in Budapest alongside Jay Lumen and the week after seen them support the mighty Adam Beyer to a sold out Button Factory in Dublin. They also had a Mini Mexico Tour back in June with the 1st Show being in Tijuana at the massive You Revolution Club and the second being an Open Air Party in Mexico City in front of 4000 Clubbers on a Sunday Afternoon. After making their recent Glasgow debut the guys closed the enormous Electric Picnic Festival in Ireland to a 6000 strong crowd after acts such as Orbital and The Cure. With a good array of high profile productions and gigs on the way and under their belts, its clear to see LOCO & JAM is a name that's gonna be around for some time to come.
