Hazem Beltagui

Hazem Beltagui was born in Alexandria, Egypt on the 6th of August 1988. He was only 10 years old when he first fell in love with dance music and as he grew older he got more into Rock and Metal. In 2008, Hazem started listening again to dance music, mostly trance as he was inspired by the tunes of Dj´s and producers like Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Andy Moor, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery and so on. Then, after listening to Deadmau5 and Kaskade’s Move For Me, he madly enjoyed it and started looking for progressive tracks with emphasis on the melodies and that’s how he actually discovered DJ´s like Sasha, Moonbeam, John Digweed, Nathan Fake, Inpetto, Duderstadt and many more.
After spending a lot of time listening to the euphoric sounds and hypnotic beats of the progressive world he decided that he would start producing his own music. He got a copy of Ableton Live, a midi keyboard and he spent hours locked in his room trying to figure out the music production tehniques and crafting his own sound and style It was just a matter of months before he actually produced some sample based music but he felt he could do a lot more as he had the feeling there was something missing in these productions, so he decided to go deeper in it and started working on original ideas and compositions, and from that moment he never looked back!
Hazem has been releasing tracks under his real name, these productions can be described as melodic, deep and melancholic but he also release music under his Nino Alvarez alias, he mainly uses this alias for the more clubby and big room progressive tracks.
It has been a great year for Hazem as he got to remix some of the best producers and vocalists in the world, he signed some of his original work to the best progressive labels out there and he also launched his own record label called Fractal Digital Recordings which is a part of the Proton music label roster.
